Camera Fixed!

And here are some pictures - first off my new pet - My Ashford Joy being modeled in what is apparently my modeling chair - this is the wheel that Jane helped me pick out and pick up - Thanks :D
Isn't she pretty..... Second up is some of my spinning of some wonderful blue that Jane picked for me at Rhinebeck and surprised me with - she knows my color for sure doesn't she? - Can I say thank you again -- it actually makes me look pretty good for a brand new spinner - 2 weeks today
and another picture from a different angle - trying to get the light better so you can see - but I am sooo not a photographer...
but you get the idea ---

so be nice - remember I am new at this -

I agree! The wheel is handsome and your yarn looks great.

I think you've been practicing more than you let on.:-)

I cannot believe this is your first spinning attempt!... Looks great! *^v^* My drop spindle is still waiting for me to practice, I so wish I had somebody to show me the technique, first attempts were far from being that good... ^^

I just don't trust you, Rhoda-Ellen, and that's a fact. You've been a master spinner for years, haven't you? I would NOT like you to see my first spinning attempts when I started. Of course you might have been using silky smooth roving instead of handfuls hauled from a nearby sheep, but even so - that is beautiful yarn!

Have a great time at the retreat, and your little traveling Ashford is just adorable. The spinning is really great, Rho. It well and truly is. Mine is what a beginning spinner gets, but those are beautiful singles.

Have fun!

Your spinning is fantastic! Wow! You just needed a wheel in front of you. Please show us what you've been up to for the past few weeks. (knitting retreat, spinning...) Hope all is well.

Hi Rho, just replied your post at my blog :)
'I do too Rho!
I've been dragging my feet on this one since my 'retirement'. I had it in mind to finish in October, then Oct became Nov, then came December. uh oh!'
How's the spinning?

Nice Wheel! Ever since Rhinebeck I can't stop thinking about spinning but for some reason I am really intimidated or maybe I am just not ready to cross that threshold ;-)

What beautiful yarn you are spinning! It must be incredibly satistfying.
