my socks

Well a really really bad picture of my socks - I need a Richard in my life Jo (my Richard doesn't take pictures :D) but I guess you get the idea and you get to see a shadow of my head and house as a bonus.

I haven't worked on anything for the last week - between heat, Harry Potter, and a lousy trip to NYC yesterday 3 hours in and 4 hours out (a trip that normally takes 2 hours -- with no rain and flooding) We literally went less than 10 miles in 2 hours on the way home . . . ugh.

Oh - and they are cutting the dead trees down in front of my house - so we now have no trees in front of my house - but at least they figured out why the trees died -- a gas leak -- so now we have to get the village to call the gas company to find where the leak is since it apparently is in addition to the one they fixed in the winter.

Well, she lives!!! Hee Hee

If you click on the pic you can really see your socks well. They look great, all of them. I especially like the 4th of July socks.

You did a great job of matching the stripes...much better than I've ever been able to do.;-)

Yo Rho - I love Love LOVE the socks! And what an artistic photo - love it too!

I'm glad they figured out what killed the trees. Sorry you had to lose them though. That sucks. Gas leaks are nothing to mess with. Apparently, the range in my apt was leaking for, oh, I guess about 3 years ... I suffered from horrible migraines and couldn't figure out why ... spent WAY TOO much $$ on doctors, specialists, an MRI and Rx but nothing helped ... finally figured out it was the gas and guess what ... WAY fewer migraines. Ugh.

What a great collection of socks! I love the stripes. ^^
Sometimes I wish I had no trees in front of my window, there's no light coming into the room...

YAY, well done on the socks! Now we believe all that work you've been putting in! A skein of superb hand-dyed merino-tencel on its way to you, babyboots. If you have preferences on the colourway, let me know quick before my jetlag wears off!

Rho, that trip to town was pretty bad. Sounds like a freeway here when a big truck over turns.

Your socks are both sweet and excellent! I love them all but the red/white/blue socks especially.

I hate losing trees and am sorry to hear that you have also. Will they replace the trees with larger specimen trees? It's something to look into seeing what their liabilities are for mature trees. Hope that the gas leak is fixed very fast.

Hi Rho - just stopped by to say hello.
I think the shadows in your sock pictures have artistic merit!

See you next week? Your socks are great! Even with the shadows. Gas leaks? Creepy. But good that they found them. Will they replant the trees?

The shadows are a riot! It's peculiar how shadows creep into a picture unnoticed by the camera person.

I've been working on a spinning DVD (a whole nightmare in itself). There's one excellent segment, except for the huge shadow on the ground and I'm holding the yarns in the sunlight where they pretty much disappeared. I was dismayed the camera person didn't realize what was happening.
