I didn't fall of the ends of the earth....

I have been knitting my fingers to the bones. I finished these Friday and delivered them to the mom-to-be at her baby shower yesterday.

I was a little disappointed that I couldn't find the buttons I wanted but these will be easy to button and unbutton for the mom and with twins I guess that is a good idea :D

This week I get to try to figure out how to knit rocks -- I have gotten some great ideas from folks that I am going to try and I have one idea myself that may work. But first I am going to play with my socks that have been ignored for a little over a week.

Off to get a cup of coffee -- we have had two days of parties for the 125th Anniversary of the local Fire Department with fireworks at the beach on Friday and a big cocktail party last night -- in addition to the baby shower yesterday -- I am exhausted ...... but in a good way. Caffeine, must get caffeine into my system....

Sweet gifts!

Why are you knitting rocks? You can make felt rocks in seconds, but I`ve never seen knitted ones.

Go with the rocks, Rho! Are these like in Jan Messent's books? I think they are an incredible use of yarn and fibre and free creative imagination.
Can you enlighten me on washcloths? What kind of yarn do you use for them? (In the way you do, I first thought the idea of knitting washcloths was silly, then suddenly found I really really wanted to make them!)
Get that coffee, girl, and settle down with the socks for some relaxation. You deserve it.

Twins! You didn't say that there were going to be little twins before. The gifts are so sweet. The button is a great idea, too.

Welcome back and I'm sure glad you've been having so much fun while away.

I have so many rocks and slabs around here that knitting them seems interesting but DH would look at me sideways with that little quirky smile of his. Have fun knitting the socks, Rho. More socks.. yeay!
